You can apply for different items within the overall maximum grant limit. The online application is simple to use and just like an online shopping basket you can add and remove items before you submit. The system will calculate the remaining grant monies and quantities of items remaining. The scheme is competitive. Following closure there will be separate ranking of applications for Low Emission Slurry Spreading (LESSE) and Non-LESSE items by score. If multiples of any item are selected, then the score of the item will only be used once to calculate the overall application score.

As part of the application, you will be asked quick, simple questions to help DAERA establish some baseline data (based on current operations) for monitoring and evaluating the scheme. We would appreciate careful consideration as these will be analysed and used in future scheme development. There are also some specific questions if you choose specific items (See ‘Application Questions’ in the guide).

Please note that the scheme will open for applications on 21 July 2026 and close on 3 September – this list is for information only at this stage.
